Jan Jekielek: You started as a private in the infantry. That is the toughest slog, as far as I know. You went into special forces and became a special operator. Ultimately, in 2018, you ended up running counter-terrorism at the NSC (National Security Council). You were confirmed in the Senate 99 to 0, if I recall correctly. Clearly, they were confident in your abilities to do this. Tell me about how you got this appointment in the first place….
