The United States brings together leaders from across the African continent for a summit in Washington from Dec. 13 to Dec. 15.
Dec. 15 is dedicated to high-level discussions among leaders, with U.S. President Joe Biden opening the day with a session on partnering on Agenda 2063, the African Union’s strategic vision for the continent. A working lunch chaired by Vice President Kamala Harris will follow.
Biden will close the day with a discussion on food security and food systems resilience, a critical issue for African partners who have been disproportionately impacted by the rise in food and fertilizer prices and disruptions to global supply chains….}
