Democrats will not be able to pass legislation codifying the struck-down Roe v. Wade abortion protections, President Joe Biden said on Nov. 14.
“I don’t think there’s enough votes to codify, unless something happens unusual in the House,” Biden said at a press conference while traveling in Asia.
Control of the House of Representatives in Congress is still undetermined because some states have struggled to count votes in a timely manner, but Democrats have already lost a number of seats and will likely be in the minority.
