Republican Reps. Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.) and Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) have introduced resolutions seeking to formally expunge both the first and second impeachments of former President Donald Trump.
The congresswomen announced the introduction of the two resolutions in a June 22 statement in which they declared that the Dec. 18, 2019, and Jan. 13, 2021, impeachments of the former president were unconstitutional.
Under their resolutions, charges against Trump would be removed from his record as if they never happened, the lawmakers said.
