Biden and Xi to Meet, Will Discuss ‘Red Lines’ on Taiwan and Nukes

President Joe Biden announced that he will meet Chinese Communist Party (CCP) leader Xi Jinping this month, for the pair’s first in-person meet since Biden assumed office.
Speaking at a White House press conference this week, Biden said that he and Xi would confer during the G20 summit in Bali on Nov. 15 and 16, and that the two leaders would discuss several critical issues including Taiwan, nuclear proliferation, and managing conflict and competition between their countries.
“What I want to do with him when we talk is lay out what each of our red lines are, understand what he believes to be in the critical national interests of China, what I know to be the critical interests of the United States, and to determine whether or not they conflict with one another and, if they do, how to resolve it and how to work it out,” Biden said….}
