A Congressional Defense and Foreign Policy Forum held by Defense Forum Foundation at 12:00 p.m. on March 14 invites three brave and inspiring women witnesses who escaped North Korea. Two of them fled recently to share their stories for the first time in the United States.
The three North Korean women are:
LEE Hyun Ae: survivor of 50 days of torture and detention for making phone calls to South Korea
JI Myeong-Hui: survivor of North Korea’s political prison camps and China’s detention centers
HAN Song-Mi: escaped from North Korea in 2011 when her mother raised enough money to pay brokers to get her out of South Korea
